Calculating EMP required to disable a shield via disruptor

#1
Hey,

I'd like to calculate how much EMP I need in an APS round to take down a str 5 shield.

Where do I find this information?

Cheers.

Its pretty woeful, you'll probably want a 400mm with 3 emp warheads to guarantee a 1shot a strength 2. Assuming the vehicle doesnt have repairbots to instantly repair it.
damage = emp damage / excess drive factor.
Shield blocks have 75hps and the emp damage varies.

Hehe, well theres nothing stopping you from doing a hybrid disrupter&frag/HE shell either, so it'll chip away until the shields are down and then do damage.

I got you covered Synth, assuming this is still accurate and no formulas have changed.

625 would be a good number to go for, as it will one shot everything below 5 and two shot the rest
There is always a weak-spot if you search Hard enough.

If you fire enough AP at that shield, at some point you're going to come through.

There is no "best" I wouldn't even say there is anything universally good, Good is subjective, I find everything bad even if it's in theory good against this or that.

go EMP proxy, save yourself the heartache and headache until shields and weapons are balanced properly.
-Do not bring forth an argument as fact that can be disproven with a 10 minute Google search.
