What are Your Political Views?

No idea what Democrat or Republican really mean - from a european perspective they both seem right wing, so that's not any use for europeans trying to show their beliefs.

I believe the govt should be there to protect citizens when they're in trouble - be it ill-health, misfortune, threats, coercion - therefore public health, education, welfare, apolitical police and good consumer & employee ( employer too ) protection. Find me one that does that & nothing else...

I'd probably be somewhere in the socialist spectrum ( probably like most europeans, actually ) but as I've worked for a couple of startup companies I've great respect for what private industry can achieve. I'd just like regulation to stop abuse & exploitation by private industry & some attempt to harness it for the good of everyone - modern "capitalism" is a dead end we have to break out of.
Poke my boat! mostly pre-2.0 learning & catalogue thread - Update: Heavy & light tanks 07/04/18 for 2.1. 6 ships made 2.0 aware. If it's not AotE I can't do it regularily - sea -> post processing -> eyestrain.

What the actual duck, cops have been caught ON VIDEO murdering unarmed people, who are BEGGING for their lives. REPEATEDLY.

One guy recently was CRAWLING ON THE FLOOR, on the cops order, saying repeatedly "please don't shoot me." He was then of course shot. With a gun that had "you're fucked" engraved on the barrel.

Source please? Every video that is shown on news only show after the cop actually catch the actual perp. No one ever catches when the perp does the crime because no one knows until they see a police chases after the guy.
People go crazy immediately after the video is up. Weeks or months after the case and the investigation is complete, vast majority of the cases are proven to be justified or the perp was in the wrong in some way or another even if excessive force was used.
Many of the "victims" turns out to have criminal background regardless which doesn't make their case any better.

Are there going to be brutality? Of course, it exist everywhere, but its BS that people think that it is common enough of a thing that we all of a sudden need to address. Yea we should always address issues like this but nothing has changed over the years and isolated cases always happen.
Its idiotic for people to rage at police and go as far as swatting them.
Only a tiny portion of police killings are actually unjustified. Even then many of those cases could of been avoided if you just cooperate with the officer. If you did nothing wrong, there's no need to struggle. If you don't struggle, no lethal force will be needed. Simple as that.

BTW Fascism =/= Bolshevism. There are similarities. There are aspect of fascism that are both left and right leaning.
Its funny, Fuzzah that you call fascism Bolshevism when fascism is VERY anti-communist. They are called differently for a reason because they are and it always will be. When asked if fascism and communism is the same, there is only one answer and that is no. that's a fact and no views or opinion will change that.
Calling fascism Bolshevism is the right-wing way of slander. Calling hardcore conservative views or nationalistic sentiments fascism is also left wing slander. Also the term earned a bad name for itself due to WW2. If you look at its roots, there's nothing inherently wrong about it or what it tries to achieve.

There was a video somewhat recently of an officer executing a 20 something year old. He was completely terrified. The officer wanted him to crawl to him, with his hands in the air, and legs crossed.... How the duck do you do that. He kept trying to do it and kept falling over, then his pants fell down and when he went to pull them up the officer shot him like 5 times.

Its not a problem that can be fixed with legislation, some people are just fucking sick

EDIT: Here is a video

Worst part is the officer was found not guilty. The fucking officer was very very rough with the guy. My dad was an officer in the NYPD and he said the guy getting off of a manslaughter charge is bullshit, and my dad has had to draw his gun before in the housing projects.

There was a video somewhat recently of an officer executing a young teenager. The kid was terrified. The officer wanted him to crawl to him, with his hands in the air, and legs crossed.... Wait that happened?
That sickens me, it really does, the fact people like that can become officers is an issue i think.
Still, the fact that happened, just, not good.
Like, they simply first of all should stop lunatics like that from making into the force, secondly the fact they are allowed to perform executions like that, I admit I doubt that officer went unpunished but the fact he did it is evidence he thought he could do that!

He did go unpunished though. They usually do. Almost always in fact.

And It's not even just an issue of not enough vetting. They are TRAINED to see everyone as an enemy. They are told things like that they have to have a "warrior mentality" and that anyone and everyone could be armed and out to get them. What kind of attitude is that for someone meant to keep the peace? That's the attitude of an occupying army, not someone who's job it is to protect citizens from harm.

Did you know a lot of police officers in the US get sent to Israel for training? How much more messed up than that can you get? Sending them to north korea? It's insane. Not to mention all the hand-me-down tanks and spaghetti they're getting from the military.
A great nation is not a nation that rules the world. A great nation is a nation that realizes they don't have to.
