Do LAMS check for LOS before firing?

#1
Say you had a hollow cube with LAMS inside with no outside line of sight, and some outside with line of sight.

When they fire, will the ones inside not fire unless the shell is blasted open and they can see their target? Or will they blindly fire into the wall in an attempt to hit the target being fed to them by the munition detectors?

I think they will fire, but I'm not sure...
The most reliable way to know is to try with only LAMS inside the hull.

Nope. I discovered this and that they don't shoot through glass blocks from trying to add some protection in the form of glass blocks. It was marginally better protected, but the laser would stop at the glass.

It may be only visual as transparency effects are difficult to master.
In FtD there are some trouble between shields and glass for example (put a light behing a glass, and a shield in front of the glass, if the shield is On, then the glass transparency will disappear).

I have a little heli with lams carrying an outer shell via dock.
In that case LAMS see and go thru the outer unit.
