How to directly take player inputs and use them directly in lua code? - jbox1 - 2018-10-08

So, I have gotten into lua code, and I have been messing around with some flight management systems. What I want to do is take AI/player directional inputs and convert them to the flight system. Originally I used a rather indirect approach by using a propulsion maintainer as the input, but this ultimately makes player inouts for turning rather painful. If anyone knows a better solution, please tell me, thanks!
